As a Project Leader in Discovery and Preclinical Research at AUROBAC, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our research and development portfolio. You will report to the Chief Scientific Officer and work closely with the senior management team.

Missions
• Operational management of scientific projects
✓ Lead cross-functional activities to ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects within specified timelines and budget constraints.
✓ Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop project strategies aligned with company goals in close link with scientific leadership. Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring projects stay on track.
✓ Proactively identify issues and challenges, analyzing pros & cons, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
• Management of discovery and preclinical scientific experiments
✓ Define experimental protocols, set up studies, participate in and monitor experiments with external partners or in conjunction with in-house teams.
✓ Manage the supply of products to service providers or collaborators.
✓ Record data in accordance with procedures – analysis and interpretation of results obtained, including impact on action plan.
✓ Write reports and summary slideshows in compliance with traceability requirements of the company.
• Communication and reporting: Effectively communicate project progress, milestones and challenges to both internal teams and external stakeholders. Prepare and deliver comprehensive project status reports and organize follow-up meetings (agenda, deck, minutes).
• Participate in the preparation of regulatory documentation on non-clinical activities associated to the project.
• Quality Assurance: implement and maintain high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, including laboratory notebook and raw data recording.
• Literature monitoring and scientific watch in link with the projects, and evaluation of impact on the projects.
Personal skills
• Proven experience (5+ years) in project management within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
• Scientific expertise in microbiology, pharmacology, immunology, medicinal chemistry, or related disciplines, particularly as related to infectious diseases and antimicrobial drug discovery and development.
• Strong understanding of biotech research and development processes.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving project objectives.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the biotech sector.
• Fluency in English is a must-have, French language skills would be a major plus.
Professional experience
• PhD in Microbiology, In vivo Pharmacology, Immunology, Medicinal Chemistry or related discipline
• >2 years of successful technical experience in a research-driven biopharmaceutical organization, either from a biotech company and/or pharma, ideally in the anti-bacterial field
• Used to working in an international environment.
