As Senior Research Lead, you will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and integrating external innovation opportunities into AUROBAC’s R&D pipeline. Reporting to the Head of Business Development and working in close partnership with the Chief Scientific Officer, you will scout, assess, and recommend scientific assets, technologies, and partnerships that align with AUROBAC’s mission in infectious diseases and AMR. This role requires both deep scientific expertise and strategic business acumen to bridge innovation with long-term therapeutic impact.

– Fluency in French and English (spoken and written) is essential

Technical skills:
– PhD in Microbiology, Infectious Diseases, Medicinal Chemistry, or related field
– Strong scientific understanding of AMR, host-pathogen interactions, and antimicrobial drug discovery
– Knowledge of multiple therapeutic modalities (small molecules, peptides, biologics, natural products)
Professional Experience:
– 8+ years of experience in pharma/biotech, academic innovation scouting, or R&D leadership in infectious diseases
– Strong scientific background in antibacterial drug discovery
– Demonstrated track record in evaluating discovery/preclinical assets and driving collaborations
– Established network across the global AMR ecosystem (academia, biotech, funding initiatives, consortia)
– Used to working in an international environment
